KAAL ran several projects at once, each with its own spreadsheet for budget, its own book for materials and its own WhatsApp group for site updates. Head office learned about overspend after the fact, when invoices arrived.
Safety checks and site progress were recorded on paper that stayed on site, so there was no consolidated view of compliance or of how a project was actually tracking against plan.
